Keith Holden is a lifelong resident of the San Mateo Coast, with a deep commitment to education and community. As a proud alumnus of the College of San Mateo (CSM), Keith pursued his academic journey by earning a bachelor’s degree from Whittier College and a master’s in special education.

With over two decades of experience as a special education teacher, department chair, and football coach, Keith has dedicated his career to fostering students’ academic and personal growth. His passion for education extends beyond the classroom, demonstrated by his service on the Sea Crest School Board of Trustees.

Now, Keith seeks to bring his expertise and leadership to the San Mateo County Community College School Board Area 1. As a first-generation college student, Keith understands the unique challenges and opportunities that higher education provides. He envisions an SMCCCD that is accessible, inclusive, and focused on ensuring success for all students.
